Sanchez cleared for Manchester United tour

Manchester United midfielder Alexis Sanchez has been cleared to join Manchester United's pre-season tour.

The Chile international had been held up by problems relating to his acceptance of a 16-month suspended jail sentence for tax fraud in Spain earlier this year. Sanchez is now poised to join his team-mates in a major boost to Jose Mourinho, who is braced for potentially damaging International Champions Cup clashes against AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid. The Portuguese is still without several World Cup participants including Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini, while England quartet Phil Jones, Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford likewise remain on holiday.

 Mourinho has warned results could get ugly, although he insists the prospect of heavy defeats does not concern him. 

"AC Milan come with all their players because Italy didn't go to the World Cup," the Red Devils boss told MUTV. Then Liverpool, I think everybody is here apart from the English ones. [Jordan] Henderson and [Trent Alexander-]Arnold, maybe not them, but everybody else is. With Real Madrid, Spain were knocked out at a very early stage, so everybody is here too. [Gareth] Bale and [Karim] Benzema didn't go to the World Cup, so we are going to face teams with obviously different potential than us. I'm not worried about that – I'm not worried if we lose, even if we lose to some not beautiful numbers."

 United's five-match tour begins against Liga MX side Club America on Thursday, three days before a meeting with MLS outfit San Jose Earthquakes.

Tanzanian out-fit Simba SC have announced the signing of Zambian midfielder Clatous Chota Chama on a two year deal from Lusaka dynamos.  The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the big spenders. Chama joined the Lusaka based club last year after his short stint in Egypt.  A source at Lusaka dynamos has however said the player has moved without the permission of the Club.  "The club is not aware of the deal and will not issue him with the International transfer certificate (ITC) since no transfer fee has been paid, " The source said.  Zambia international will however leave for Turkey with his new team as they start their pre-season in preparation for a new season.

CECAFA Cup final: Kagere starts for Simba as Azam looks to defend title

Meddie Kagere has been handed a starting role for Simba in the CECAFA Cup final match against Azam.  The former Gor Mahia striker will lead the attacks alongside Marcel Kahenza and Mohamed Rashid. Kagere has two goals so far in the tournament. A penalty well - taken against APR of Rwanda and a semi-final lone strike against Jeshi La Kujenga Uchumi.  Azam, the title defenders will look to overcome Simba test in the evening in an all Tanzania affair at the National Stadium.  Simba Starting XI: 1.
