Griezmann hits back at Chelsea keeper
Antoine Griezmann has hit back at Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois after the shot-stopper slammed France's style of play.
The two met in World Cup semi-final with France eliminating Belgium thanks to Samuel Umtiti's second-half header. Courtois questioned France's style of play labeling them as negative tactics. Courtois said, "France heads a corner and does nothing more than defend. I would have preferred to have lost in the quarter-finals to Brazil, at least that was a team that wanted to play football. France are just an anti-football team.”
Griezmann's response
Griezmann hit back at Courtois' criticism, suggesting that his club Chelsea plays a similar system.
"Does Thibaut Courtois think that at Chelsea he plays Barcelona football? I don't care how I want a second star to be on this shirt. That is all," he said.
Belgium will meet England on Saturday in the World Cup third playoff.
